Family-legend has it that the Schuurhuis-family originally came from Germany. We have not been able yet to confirm that. Actually we get stuck with Jan Janssen in the village Oudleusen. We know that the name of Schuurhuis / Schüürhuis is quite common in Duitsland in the area just across the border near Hardenberg, so maybe there is some truth in the family-tradition. If you happen to have more data on those German Schuurhuis / Schüürhuis families, we would like to get in contact with you!
On the next pages you will find:

The ancestors of Gerrit Jan Schuurhuis, 1879-1957, married Gramsbergen 12-8-1905 to Geertruida van den Berg. I am looking for further information on the following persons and their parents:

All comments and aditional information will be appreciated.

Next the descendants of Jan Jansen, died Dalfsen 1805, married to Grietje Marthens , born Dalfsen 1734, died Dalfsen after 1805, daughter of Marten Jans and Jenthe Herms . We have nog been able to trace the ancestors of Jan Jansen, and don't have any clue where he came from. Who knows more about him?
